Hello friends!
Words About Games are once again doing Gameblast in aid of Special Effect.
Special Effect are an amazing charity that create custom interfaces and controllers that give disabled people the ability to play video games and use technology. By focusing on their strengths, Special Effect make it possible for kids to play games with their friends comfortably in ways they couldn’t do before.
It’s about bringing fun, inclusion and a sense of normality to people who struggle with the things we take for granted every day.
We think it’s an amazing cause that can really help out people who need it, so we want to help too.
On October 28th at 10AM (UK time) myself, Keith and Russell will embark on a 24-hour livestream of non-stop video games. We’re taking sponsorship for this madness, with every penny going to help Special Effect continue their amazing work, and we need your help.
If you can donate anything at all we would greatly appreciate it. If you can donate please do. If you can’t, please share this page around your friends and family. Or even just offer us words of encouragement (particularly on the day in question!)
Whatever you can do to support this fantastic cause is appreciated.
As an added bonus, for every £50 we raise one of us will put ourselves through a terrible game, chosen by the others, live on the Internet for everyone’s amusement.
