Ahead of their own press conference, Ubisoft showed off an extended look at the gameplay of their next Assassin’s Creed game. Origins will take place in Ancient Egypt at the dawn of the Assassin’s order, seeing the game’s timeline go backwards for the first time in series history. Assassin’s Creed: Origins will have players take the role of Bayek, last magi and protector of his community.

The gameplay seemed fairly standard for an Assassin’s Creed title – with Bayek sneaking his way through a fortress & stealthily murdering guards. There were some new touches for the game briefly seen – mounts, weapons and a different combat style that seemed less reliant on counter attacks. No doubt the rest of the game will be expanded on at Ubisoft’s press conference on Monday night.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins launches on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 27, 2017.
