This morning – Hideo Kojima confirms that Death Stranding will skip E3 next week, a AAA RPG based on Magic: The Gathering has been announced, Telltale Games have set a release date for Minecraft: Story Mode season two, Rebellion have announced third-person shooter Strange Brigade and Square Enix & Ninja Theory have announced Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.
Death Stranding won’t be at E3 – Hideo Kojima has confirmed that Death Stranding will not be at E3 this year. The news comes directly from Kojima’s Twitter account, with the developer saying that the team of Kojima Productions are fully focused on game development. Then, in traditional Kojima fashion, he Tweeted out a cryptic teaser image for the game, before confirming that he himself will be at E3 for a panel hosted by Geoff Keighley on Wednesday, June 14 on Twitch.

Magic: The Gathering “AAA RPG” announced – Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have announced a AAA RPG based on the Magic: The Gathering franchise. There’s very little information on the game, with a full reveal coming at a later date. Perfect World CEO Bryan Huang said that the game will “bring Magic’s Planeswalkers to a modern RPG.” The game is expected to release on both PC and consoles.

Minecraft: Story Mode season 2 coming next month – Tellatale Games have announced that a second season of Minecraft: Story Mode is coming. The first episode of the new season launches on July 11 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and mobile devices and will carry over choices made by players of the first season, continuing Jesse’s saga for another five episodes.

Third-person shooter Strange Brigade revealed – Rebellion Developments have revealed a brand new IP called Strange Brigade. The game is a co-op based, third-person shooter that adds a supernatural twist to the “remote corners” of the British Empire. There was no release date announced for the game, which will come to PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but more information is due at E3 next week.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT coming in 2018 – Square Enix have announced a brand new Dissidia Final Fantasy game. NT, which stands for Ninja Theory, is being developed in partnership with said studio and will be a squad-based 3v3 brawler where heroes and villains from the Final Fantasy franchise will face off against characters from Ninja Theory’s franchises. The game is coming to Playstation 4 in 2018, with more information coming at E3 next week.
