This morning – Ubisoft announce Far Cry 5, The Crew 2 and their E3 press conference time and date, Sega reveal a custom character creator for Sonic Forces, Harvest Moon: Light of Hope has been announced to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary, a new strategy game set in the Battlestar Galactica universe is coming soon and Nintendo are hosting an Arms focused Direct today.
Ubisoft announces Far Cry 5, The Crew 2 & E3 press conference – Ubisoft have revealed the time and date of their press conference at E3 next month. The show will take place at 9PM BST on Tuesday June 12. The publisher has also announced both Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2, revealing that those two games plus the next Assassin’s Creed and South Park: The Fractured But Whole will all launch by the end of the financial year.

Sonic Forces will have a custom character creator – Sega have revealed that their upcoming 2D/3D hybrid adventure game will feature a custom character creator. For the first time in the series history players will be able to create their own Hero Character, customising their very own look and play style. Players will create their character from a selection of basic animals, then customise their hero further with various accessories and outfit options.

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope announced – To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Harvest Moon franchise, developer Natsume has announced a brand new entry in the series. Light of Hope will task players with rebuilding a small harbour town following a devastating storm. The game will be officially unveiled at E3 next month, where it will also be playable, and is launching on PC, PS4 and Switch.

Ace Combat 7 has been delayed to 2018 – Ace Combat franchise director Kazutoki Kono has written a letter to fans informing them that the next instalment in the air combat game won’t launch until 2018. The delay is to allow developer Project ACES the time to achieve their vision for the game, which has expanded greatly since development began thanks to more powerful hardware and the launch of Playstation VR.

Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock coming this Summer – Indie development studios Slitherine and Black Lab Games have partnered with Universal Brand Development to create a brand new strategy game set in the Battlestar Galactica universe. Deadlock is a feature a strong narrative based on the 2004 SyFy series, allowing players to create a fleet, fight tactical battles and defend the Twelve Colonies during the First Cylon War. The game will launch this Summer for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Nintendo announce Arms-focused Direct for later today – Nintendo have announced they will be hosting a new Direct later today. The Direct will offer a deep dive into their upcoming brawler Arms, as well as showcasing a brand new trailer for Splatoon 2. The stream will go live at 11PM BST.
