It’s far to say that the reveal of Spider-Man at Sony’s E3 press conference was one of the biggest moments of the show. The Playstation Blog sat down with Bryan Inthihar from Insomniac Games and Bill Rosemann from Marvel to discuss one of the biggest talking points of E3.
According to Rosemann, Marvel had been waiting for the right opportunity to come along to make the game:
“We waited for the planets to align. Spider-Man represents a new beginning, a new era for Marvel games. This is going to be the most ambitious game yet that we’ve done. We wanted to wait until we had the perfect partnership and that happened when Insomniac and Sony came together, and we couldn’t be more excited to set the bar for all the Spider-Man fans, so that Spidey could swing over that bar.”
As for Inthihar, he acknowledged how important Spider-Man is to fans:
“We understand how important this character is to a lot of people. He’s important to us, important to myself, to everybody at Insomniac. We just want to do it justice. We just want to make sure that people walk away unbelievably happy, and this [trailer] is kind of the first taste of that journey we’re going to be going on.
