When Batman Arkham VR was announced at the Sony press conference yesterday we didn’t get much information. All we knew was that it was a Playstation VR exclusive and that it was being developed by Arkham series creators Rocksteady (and that it may or may not have Mark Hamill in it).

Now we have more information, courtesy of principal designer Bill Green via the Playstation Blog. Green revealed that the game is putting a greater focus on Batman’s detective skills, and will feature a highly focused, very personal story told entirely in first-person:

“[It is] a murder mystery in the style of the classic Batman comic books, but with a strong dose of the dark psychology that the Arkham games are well known for.”

Batman Arkham VR will also let players explore locations such as the Batcave and Wayne Manor, the latter of which is a first for the Arkham series. You’ll be able to stand in Bruce Wayne’s home and then decsend into the Batcave and suit up.

Batman Arkham VR releases this October exclusively for Playstation VR.
