Fresh off the release of the exceptional Quantum Break, many have started to turn their attention towards the future, and are wondering what Remedy are working on next. It seems as though the studio have been working on something for a while, as two members of the Remedy team have a new project listed on their LinkedIn profiles.

Unlike so many others on the business-oriented social network, they’ve both got the project down as “unannounced title” – rather than outing whatever game they’ve been working on. Both have been working on the project since August 2015, which was nine months ago.

It’s not inconceivable, then, that this mystery title could be revealed as early as E3 or Gamescom this year.

As for what Remedy are working on, that’s anyone’s guess. It’s been a year to the day that studio head Sam Lake revealed the studios prototype for an Alan Wake sequel, which they stared on soon after the game ended production in 2010. Their latest game, Quantum Break, also contained an in-game teaser for Alan Wake’s Return. Remedy have said repeatedly that they’d love to revisit the IP.

It is worth mentioning that Lake said earlier this month that the studio have “all kinds of ideas floating around” for future games, even including multiplayer:

“Certainly there are discussions about multiplayer. There are discussions about all kinds of ideas. We want to evolve with the times as well; try out new things that push ourselves, and always come back and question, ‘What is a Remedy game and how can we evolve it into something even cooler?'”

Hopefully we’ll know soon enough what Remedy are following Quantum Break up with.
