To make up for the lack of a new Resident Evil game in the near future, Capcom seem to be on a quest to release every Resident Evil game on current generation consoles. The Japanese publisher has just announced that they are bringing Resident Evil 4, 5 & 6 to PS4 and Xbox One in 2016 – starting with the sixth game in the core series.

Capcom is planning to release Resident Evil 6 digitally on current gen consoles on March 29. Resident Evil 5 is set for release in Summer, with Resident Evil 4 due out sometime in the Fall. Each game will cost £15.99, or your regional equivalent. Physical versions of each game will be available in North America. While a PC release was not mentioned, it’s likely that the platform will be included.

HD remasters of the Resident Evil remake and Resident Evil 0 are already available on both PC and current generation consoles, and a Resident Evil 2 remake was put into active development last year. This news means that we’ll only be missing Resident Evil 3. So expect a Resident Evil 3 remake to be announced in the next couple of years, along with the Resident Evil Super Mega Ultra Collection.
