The third in the trinity of games Microsoft promised would take centre stage at Gamescom; Crackdown 3 was given its in-game debut at the Germany show. Dave Jones from Reagent Games took to the stage to show off the footage, promising competitive multiplayer action and entirely destructible environments.
The short trailer showed off destruction on a massive scale, giving potential players a glimpse at the carnage they can unleash upon the world of Crackdown 3 simply by destroying a skyscraper. According to the trailer voiceover all of this destruction is made possible by Microsoft’s Cloud – which harnesses twenty-times the power of your Xbox One.
Crackdown 3 is thought to be coming exclusively to Xbox One in 2016. The tag at the end of the trailer states that “Multiplayer begins Summer 2016” suggesting that a beta is being planned for next year.
