Now that I have this damn blog I suppose I should write something. I figure where better to start than with something that has been irking me lately (of course). That thing is of course Breaking Bad. Of course.

Y’know how many people have recommended Breaking Bad to me? Eighty-four billion. Yup, roughly twelve times the population of the entire planet has told me that Breaking Bad is the bestest thing ever and I should be watching it and oh my God you’re not watching it yet what are you doing there’s nothing else more important in your life right now than watching Breaking Bad why are you watching [insert other show here] when Breaking Bad is better…

Yep. That’s not annoying in the slightest.

Breaking Bad looks great, it really does. I imagine if I sat down to start watching it right this second I’d be needing to phone in sick at work tomorrow because I’m totally not ready to stop mainlining episodes of it. I saw Giancarlo Esposito in an episode of Community a few months back and that dude was awesome. Bryan Cranston was in Malcolm In The Middle! Oh. I guess not everything you can say about it can be a glowing recommendation.

Point is Breaking Bad is going to be something I’m probably going to like, if not outright love, when I get around to watching it. What’s holding me back from watching it is the fact that eighty-four billion people and all their pets won’t stop ramming how supposedly amazing it is down my throat, and that pisses me off.

I haven’t even watched a second of Breaking Bad and I already have a little bit of hatred for it. It’s probably coming across in this post, but I just want to put out there that I don’t hate it. At all. It’s probably going to be something I’m just going to sidestep entirely until all the hysteria has died down over it, because it’s the hysteria over it that’s pissing me off.

So yeah, I don’t know how often I’ll update this blog. Could be all the time, could be not very much, but I decided that it’s something I should have lying around so I can externalize my thoughts. For me that’s the healthiest thing I can do.
